Tempus
Fugit Percussion Ensemble Tempus Fugit has performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (1996, 2001, 2002), the Bands of America Summer Symposium (2000), and the MENC National Conference (1999). They have collaborated and recorded with many of the top artists in the percussion world, including Leigh Howard Stevens, Michael Burritt, Steve Houghton, Stan Leonard, and She-E Wu. The group has commissioned new works from such composers as David Stock and Michael Wittgraf, and has premiered over thirty new works for percussion ensemble. Tempus Fugit’s dedication to education is demonstrated though their highly successful clinic presentations and percussion camps. Both as a group and individually, the members have presented clinics and master classes throughout the United States for students of all ages. The Tempus Fugit Percussion Camp is designed to introduce students to percussion ensemble playing and then to develop players’ appreciation and understanding through hands-on experience and performance. Tempus Fugit represents Yamaha, Zildjian, Innovative Percussion, and Alternate Mode. They are currently in residence at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. |
